When the Moment Can't Wait
Most reasons people send flowers don't come with a week's notice. A birthday that crept up. A friend who just received difficult news. A thank-you that's been sitting in the back of your mind. We've built our same-day flower delivery in Westchester around that reality.
Order before 3 PM Monday through Saturday and your arrangement goes out that afternoon — made that morning in our Larchmont studio, handled by our own drivers or trained couriers, and delivered the same way we'd hand it to you across the counter.
How It Works
The cutoff is 3 PM. Place your order before then, select same-day delivery at checkout, and your arrangement is made and dispatched that afternoon. If timing matters — before noon, by 3 PM — timed delivery windows are available at checkout for an additional fee, and we guarantee delivery within the window you select.
If you miss the cutoff, your order will be moved to the next available delivery day. For anything urgent, call us directly at (914) 834-4900. We'd rather have a real conversation than let you wonder.
What's Available for Same-Day Delivery
Almost everything on our site is available same-day — it's the same flowers, the same designers, the same sourcing from our growers in Ecuador, Colombia, and the Netherlands. Browse our most-loved arrangements to see what other customers are sending right now.
A note on large rose orders: if you need two, three, or four dozen roses — or roses in a very specific color — we'll often need a day's notice to make sure we have exactly what you're after. When in doubt, call us, and we'll tell you what we can do.

Why Local Delivery Makes a Difference
Cut flowers are perishable, and they show it when they're handled carelessly. With a national relay service like 1-800-Flowers, your order is typically routed to a local florist they don't control, at a price already discounted by their cut. What arrives is often a smaller version of what was pictured, assembled by a shop that received the order an hour before delivery. The Society of American Florists recommends choosing a local florist who designs and delivers directly — and that's exactly what we do.
The Flower Bar is one studio. One design team. Your arrangement is made in Larchmont the same morning it's delivered, using the same flowers we're working with for every other order that day. The stems are the same. The care is the same. The vase life is the same as what you'd get walking in. It's the kind of intentional, hand-delivered experience that the Slow Flowers movement was built around — knowing where your flowers come from and who arranged them.
What I Tell First-Time Customers
I get this question more than almost any other: is same-day delivery actually the same quality as ordering ahead? It is a fair question, and I understand where it comes from. Most services that offer same-day rush delivery are doing exactly that: rushing. Pulling things from inventory, skipping steps, getting it out the door.
At The Flower Bar, same-day orders are made the same morning they are delivered, using the same flowers we source from our growers in Ecuador, Colombia, and the Netherlands — stems that arrive at our Larchmont studio fresh, not sitting in a cooler for a week. The arrangement your recipient receives on a same-day order is identical in quality to what you would get if you ordered for tomorrow. The only difference is the timeline. That is a promise I am genuinely proud to make.
We confirm the delivery. We send you a photo before we leave, so you can see exactly what your love looks like. If something unexpected comes up — the recipient is not home, the address looks different — we call. You should not have to wonder whether your flowers arrived. We close that loop. Every time.
The Occasions That Cannot Wait
Same-day delivery is not really about logistics. It is about what makes certain moments irreplaceable.
A birthday that snuck up on you — but is today. A friend who just got difficult news and needs something on her doorstep before she goes to sleep tonight. A thank-you that has been sitting in your chest for weeks and finally, today, you are ready to say it out loud. A promotion. A new baby. A first day back at work after something hard.
I have been delivering flowers in Larchmont and across Westchester for fifteen years. And I can tell you: same-day orders carry something that advance orders sometimes do not. They carry the feeling that someone stopped what they were doing, right now, because of you. The sender did not plan it. They felt it, and they acted on it. That urgency — that immediacy — is part of the message.
Whether it is a birthday arrangement for someone you love, a sympathy piece for a grieving family, a congratulations arrangement for someone who earned it today, or a simple thank-you bouquet that has been overdue — same-day delivery means the moment lands when it is supposed to. Not three days later when the feeling has passed.
That is why we built our delivery around the 3 PM cutoff and not around what is logistically easiest for us. We want you to be able to say what you feel, the day you feel it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the cutoff for same-day delivery?
3 PM, Monday through Saturday. Orders placed after that go out the next available day. For anything time-sensitive after the cutoff, call us at (914) 834-4900 and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.
Do you deliver to New Rochelle, Scarsdale, White Plains, and other Westchester towns?
Yes — we deliver throughout Westchester County for orders placed before 3 PM. The town list on this page is just a sample; if you don't see yours, call us and we'll let you know.
Do you use DoorDash or Uber for deliveries?
No. We hand-deliver locally with our own drivers. For deliveries further afield, we use couriers who are specifically trained to handle flowers — not general gig-economy delivery services.
What happens if no one is home?
Our driver will ring the doorbell, and if there's no answer, will call the recipient and leave a message. Weather permitting, we'll leave the arrangement at the door. Either way, you'll receive a delivery confirmation — with either a photograph or a signature — so you know your flowers arrived.
Can I add a personal note?
Yes. You'll be prompted to write one at checkout. We print it on a notecard and include it with every arrangement — no character limit. We can also handwrite your note on one of our locally-made floral greeting cards.
Are you open on Sundays?
Our studio is closed on Sundays, but Sunday delivery is often possible — just call us. Nancy, our owner, lives locally, and we're happy to arrange it when we can. You can also place your order over the weekend for Monday delivery, or call Monday morning to place a same-day order.
Where is The Flower Bar located and what are your hours?
We're at 11 Addison Street, Larchmont, NY 10538, open Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Same-day delivery cutoff is 3 PM. You can reach us at (914) 834-4900.
